Emma Billing

Emma has been dancing since the age of 2, however she started her journey at Dance Discovery in 2014 and has been a part of Dance Discovery’s performance team since the age of 9, she has also had the opportunity to represent Dance Discovery at many competitions as a soloist and in a duo.

Emma has experience across all genres of dance having completed the Australian Teachers of Dancing examinations in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop and the Royal Academy of Dance examinations. 

Some of Emma’s proudest moments include, being awarded the Dance Discovery Sally North Performance Award in 2018 and traveling interstate to represent DD and Victoria at the ATOD state and australiasian scholarships. Her highest achievements include placing first in; 

• Sub-Junior Jazz State and Australiasian Scholarship 2018, 
• Junior Jazz State and Australiasian Scholarship 2019,
• Junior Tap State Scholarship 2019,
• Junior Hip Hop State Scholarship 2021,
• Intermediate Jazz Australiasian Scholarship 2021,
• Intermediate Hip Hop State Scholarship 2022,
• Senior Jazz State Scholarship 2022. 

Emma is currently completing Assistant Training qualifications and VCE VET Dance Units 1/2 and intends on continuing to pursue her passion for dance with Dance Discovery by continuing to undertake classes and share her knowledge through teaching and encouraging students to achieve their best.
